
The New Administrative Capital, the new future capital of the Arab Republic of Egypt, is a new fourth-generation city, located in Cairo Governorate, and managed through the Administrative Capital Company for Urban Development. It was established by decision of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi No. 57 of 2016, and its establishment was announced during a support conference. And the development of the Egyptian economy, which was held in Sharm El-Sheikh from March 13 to 15, 2015, and was contracted with the United Arab Emirates to establish it during the conference activities. The total area of the city is about 170 thousand acres (688 km²), which is larger than the area of Singapore and four times larger than the city of Washington, the capital of the United States of America. It is about 60 km away from the city of Cairo in the east direction, and about 65 km away from the city of Suez in the west direction. It is planned to accommodate approximately 6.5 million people upon completion of its entire construction phase.
The Administrative Capital was established to alleviate congestion in the city of Cairo, and to become the new capital and the seat of Egypt’s government by the end of June 2022, where the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, the Prime Minister’s Office, the House of Representatives, the Senate, ministries, government agencies and agencies, as well as embassies and consulates of foreign countries, will be moved, and it will be the center. Egypt's financial district is located in the financial and business district, which will include the headquarters and regional offices of major Egyptian and international companies and banks. The iconic tower
It is a tower under construction located in the New Administrative Capital, implemented by the Chinese company "CSCEC". The tower is 385 meters high and will become the tallest tower in Africa. The pouring of concrete for the tower began in February 2019. After that, the tower began to rise at a remarkable speed until the pouring of the concrete structure of the tower was completed in June 2021 (according to the executing Chinese company). The Chinese company hired many Egyptian engineers and workers to implement the project. The tower will include a hotel, residential apartments, and administrative offices, as well as a commercial market, a gold market, an electronics market, a cinema and theater complex, an ice skating rink, and a helicopter landing pad.
Strategic State Command Center
It is the new headquarters of the Egyptian Ministry of Defense. The establishment of the new headquarters aims to be the largest in the Middle East. The headquarters extends over a total area of 22,000 acres. The headquarters includes 13 regions - each with its own role - making it the largest defense headquarters in the world. The octagon is part of a large institution, which includes places of worship, clubs, hotels, schools, stadiums, residential projects, shopping centers, hospitals, and complexes for civil and administrative services. The place is secured by two units of the Republican Guard and other security means.
City of Arts and Culture
It is an Egyptian cultural and artistic institution, established to be a beacon of artistic, intellectual and cultural creativity in Egypt on an area of 127 acres, and it was inaugurated on November 20, 2021. The city includes many facilities, the most important of which are the Museum of Egyptian Capitals, an opera house, the Ramses II Theater, and a large celebration hall with a capacity of 2,500. person, in addition to the small theater, 2 halls that accommodate 750 people and where special performances are held, the pocket theater that accommodates 50 people, the chamber theater, the artistic creativity center, the cinema hall that will be linked to satellites to show various artistic concerts, three halls for training in singing and playing, a studio. Audio recording attached to three montage halls, a museum about opera and its history in Egypt, a modern art museum containing the latest works of Egyptian artists, a modern art museum in the Opera Park containing various contents by international and Egyptian artists, a music library containing the international opera archive for listening and viewing, cafeterias, a section for drawing and sculpture arts. Music, literature and poetry, in addition to the Administrative Capital Library, which accommodates 6,000 people.
Al-Fattah Al-Aleem Mosque
It is one of the city's mosques in Egypt with a distinctive, modern Islamic architectural style. It is located at the entrance to the Administrative Capital on the Central Ring Road. It was opened on January 6, 2019. The mosque was built on an area of 106 acres, of which approximately (8,600 m²) is the area of the mosque building, and 7,000 m² is an outdoor courtyard designated for prayer, below which is a “basement” containing a daily prayer area and a “mini-mosque” for men. And for women, halls for memorizing the Qur’an, places for ablution, a library, and administrative offices, and the rest of the external space is allocated to buildings, roads, and landscaping. The entire mosque can accommodate approximately 17,000 worshipers, including 6,500 ground floors (the main courtyard), 1,200 first floors, the “mezzanine floor” (women’s prayer hall), 7000 outdoor space, 2000 mini mosque.
Great Mosque of Egypt
It is a mosque under construction, built in the Mamluk style, on an area of 116 acres. It is located on a plateau overlooking the Administrative Capital. The length of the minaret is 140 meters and contains 12 small domes, 8 medium domes, and a main dome with a diameter of 30 meters. The project is being implemented by the Arab Contractors Company. The cost of the project reached 45 million dollars, and upon completion of its construction, it will become the largest mosque in Egypt.
Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ
It is a Coptic cathedral. It was inaugurated on January 6, 2019 during the Christmas celebration and during the visit of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Pope Tawadros II. This cathedral is considered the largest in size and capacity in the Middle East when completed, as it is located on an area of 63 thousand square meters and has a capacity for more than 8 thousand people.
Egypt International Olympic Games City
It is the first largest integrated Olympic city in Egypt. It includes many sports and public facilities such as the Administrative Capital Stadium with a capacity of 90,000 spectators, training fields, a hotel and chalet area, a commercial area, a sports medicine hospital, open fields, the main and subsidiary tennis court, a complex.

It is an Egyptian academic institution, located west of the Regional Ring Road on an area of 250 acres and with a construction cost amounting to 2.5 billion Egyptian pounds. Sariya, the administrative capital
The largest flagpole in the world, with a height of 207.8 meters. The Egyptian flag was raised on the flagpole on December 27, 2021.
